Symbolic was founded in 1968 by
Frank Ponzio. He
realized that the industry would soon undergo
rapid growth with the increasing availability of
affordable small and mid-sized business computers. The original charter was to provide turnkey systems to the minicomputer industry.
Since then, the company has evolved into a full-scale software development company, servicing not only a wide range of industries, but also providing
software services and applications on a large platform of computer and communications systems using a range of programming languages and development tools.
